Julia Roberts to Star in the Film Adaption of Harlan Coben’s ‘Fool Me Once’

If you follow my site or twitter feed, then you know I’ve been raving about Harlan Coben’s new novel Fool Me Once for months. While the book has only been out for a week, I was calling in the next Gone Girl or Girl on a Train since I read an advance copy several months ago and wrote my review.

Apparently I’m not the only one really high on Fool Me Once, which is the highest rated novel on The Real Book Spy’s 2016 Thriller Ratings page, because news broke today that Julia Roberts has signed on to produce and star in the film adaption of Coben’s book!

Roberts will play Maya, a former special ops pilot who returns home battling PTSD and grieving the loss of her husband, when her life suddenly takes an unexpected twist. One day while checking the footage from her new nanny cam, Maya sees her husband Joe, who was gunned down in a park two weeks prior, playing with their daughter.

According to EW, Roberts will produce Fool Me Once alongside her Red Om Films partners Lisa Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill.
