Steve Berry Signs New Four-Book Deal With Minotaur Books

Steve BerryIf you’re a fan of Steve Berry and his Cotton Malone series, I have some news that’s about to have you fist-bumping and shouting “woohoo!”at the top of your lungs.

The New York Times bestselling author and his longtime publisher, Minotaur Books, have agreed to a new four-book deal to ensure that Cotton Malone will be around through at least 2021.

It’s believed that Berry still has one book left on his current deal, which is set for publication next year, meaning fans can count on at least five additional Cotton Malone adventures in the future. And, if that wasn’t enough to already get you going, it turns out we may even have some early information on at least two of those upcoming novels.

Back in April, I reported that Berry’s 2017 novel will be titled The Lost Order and that it will deal with the Smithsonian, the Civil War, and “something really cool” from our nation’s history.

Before that, I wrote an article stating that according to a source I spoke to who was in attendance at one of Berry’s recent book signings, there’s a very strong possibility that next year’s book will be a prequel story explaining how Cotton joined Magellan Billet–the Justice Department’s top secret intelligence gathering group.

Additionally, in that same article, I wrote about Berry’s plans for his 2018 novel to be the first of his Cotton Malone stories written in the first-person narrative, which I personally think is absolutely brilliant.

And finally, to top it all off, Berry will be taking part in next year’s International Thriller Writers anthology: MATCHOFF.

MATCHOFF is the sequel to Faceoff (2014) and is set to be edited by Lee Child. It will feature eleven of the world’s top female thriller authors, who will be teaming up with eleven bestselling male thriller authors to write brand new original short stories starring their respected series protagonists.

I told you there was a bunch of awesome news. Now, forget what anyone else may think and fist pump away… we both know you want to!
