Stephen Coonts’ Next Jake Grafton And Tommy Carmellini Novel To Be Released In November (With Details)

Stephen Coonts

Last year, Stephen Coonts made waves with the release of his controversial novel, Liberty’s Last Stand. Having already racked up 1,150 reviews on Amazon (at the time of this article), readers’ reactions have been either wildly positive or extremely negative–with little in between.

For the record, there are far more positive reviews than bad ones, and we absolutely agree that Coonts wrote a fantastic, must-read thriller. In fact, Stand might be his best novel yet, which is really saying something, considering that Coonts is a legend in the thriller world and has been one of the best novelists on the planet since the 1980s when his novel, Flight of the Intruder, hit bookstores.

Liberty’s Last Stand marked the first of Coonts’ novels published by Regnery, whom he signed with after leaving his longtime publisher, St. Martin’s Press. With two books left on his current deal, we finally have our first look at the follow-up to Stand.

The twelfth Jake Grafton novel will be titled The Armageddon File, and is scheduled to hit bookstores on November 6th, 2017. Returning also is Tommy Carmellini (making it the eighth time he and Grafton have teamed up), in what promises to be another politically-charged thriller from Coonts, who has more than a dozen New York Times bestsellers under his belt and remains one of today’s most read thriller authors.

Scroll down to read the plot details below:

After one of the most contentious and divisive elections in American history, the new president is finally settling into the West Wing. But when his Chief of Staff discovers evidence that voting machines in key counties in swing states were tampered with, the whole administration is in danger of unraveling. Did someone steal the election? Are America’s biggest enemies involved? Were the tampered-with machines actually rigged to swing the election the other way–and if so and the plot failed, what is the conspirators’ backup plan?

Jake Grafton and Tommy Carmellini race to solve the mystery of a potentially rigged election before Americans’ full faith and credit in our democracy, sovereignty, and rule of law become completely undone.

At this time, The Armageddon File is only available for pre-order on Kindle, but, if you prefer hardcover or audiobook, it will be available in all formats when it’s released this September. Stay tuned for cover art, which should be revealed sometime in the coming months.
