James Rollins, in a rather unprecedented move, has released the first hour of audio from his new Sigma Force thriller, The Demon Crown, completely free to his fans more than a month before the book hits stores.
While it’s common for authors (or their publishers) to release free excerpts of their new books ahead of publication, extended audiobook samples aren’t typically made available until after the book comes out–if at all. Rollins, though, is treating his fans, who can listen simply by visiting his website, no strings attached.
