David Baldacci’s Next Memory Man Novel Officially Announced (with Details)

Last October, we were the first to report that David Baldacci’s New York Times bestselling Amos Decker (better known as the Memory Man) series would continue in 2019. However, at the time, very little about the book was known. That’s no longer the case, as Baldacci recently announced the official title and cover art himself, revealing that Decker will be seeking Redemption in his latest outing.

See the cover art, which we have to admit looks really good, and plot details below.

Redepmtion.jpgDetective Amos Decker discovers that a mistake he made as a rookie detective may have led to deadly consequences in the latest Memory Man thriller in David Baldacci’s #1 New York Times bestselling series.

Amos Decker and his FBI partner Alex Jamison are visiting his hometown of Burlington, Ohio, when he’s approached by an unfamiliar man. But he instantly recognizes the man’s name: Meryl Hawkins. He’s the first person Decker ever arrested for murder back when he was a young detective. Though a dozen years in prison have left Hawkins unrecognizably aged and terminally ill, one thing hasn’t changed: He maintains he never committed the murders. Could it be possible that Decker made a mistake all those years ago? As he starts digging into the old case, Decker finds a startling connection to a new crime that he may be able to prevent, if only he can put the pieces together quickly enough . . .

Also on tap for this year is Baldacci’s fourth Vega Jane book in his popular Young Adult series, The Stars Below, which will come out on February 26th, and there’s a good chance he’ll have another series novel, either following newcomer Atlee Pine or longtime favorites WIll Robie or John Puller, out this fall, though there’s been official word on that front yet.

Redemption is the fifth book starring former NFL player turned FBI investigator Amos Decker, following last year’s The Fallen, and is scheduled to land in bookstores on April 16th. You can pre-order it here
