RED FALCON: Connor Sullivan’s Next Brian Rhome Thriller Announced

On April 22, 2025, Brian Rhome returns to action in Red Falcon, the latest thriller from Barry Award-winning author Connor Sullivan.

For newcomers to the series, Rhome, a former member of the CIA’s Ground Branch, first appeared in Wolf Trap (2023), where he was forced out of hiding in order to confront a global conspiracy that threatened the highest levels of American democracy. Now he’s back, and this time around, Rhome is set to find himself smack dab in the middle of another high-stakes, dangerous situation that only he can stop.

Red Falcon—the sequel to Wolf Trap—centers on the Havana Syndrome phenomenon and the people and weapons behind it,” said Connor Sullivan in an exclusive statement to The Real Book Spy.

“Like my other books, a ton of research went into this novel. I interviewed numerous Havana Syndrome survivors–from former CIA officers, and diplomats who were targeted, to scientists, physicists, and engineers who have worked on the construction of directed energy weapons. Unlike Wolf Trap, this Brian Rhome sequel doesn’t globetrot. The setting takes place almost exclusively in New York City. I wanted to challenge myself by writing a thriller in one of the most highly surveilled places in the world–where everyone’s movements are watched and recorded. Red Falcon is big in scope and intricate in plot. I’m excited to see what readers think.”

A shadow operative investigates mysterious attacks on United States diplomats and intelligence personnel around the world, only to uncover a plot far more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine in this white-knuckled thriller in the “action-packed” (Lisa Gardner, #1 New York Times bestselling author) Brian Rhome series.

Three NATO scientists are murdered in Europe.

Two more are assassinated in the United States.

They all share one thing in common: A decade before, they worked on a secret project developing weapons they believe are responsible for causing the sudden onset of a medical crisis ripping through the American diplomatic and intelligence communities—a mysterious and debilitating condition known as Havana Syndrome.

With these weapons on the loose in New York City, former CIA paramilitary operations officer Brian Rhome finds himself unravelling not only the truth behind the syndrome but caught in a plot of deception and deceit—a web with disastrous intent, one that could beckon global catastrophe.
