AN INSIDE JOB: Daniel Silva’s 25th Gabriel Allon Announced

Gabriel Allon, one of the thriller genre’s most beloved characters, is set to return to action on July 15th, 2025 in An Inside Job, the latest must-read novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Daniel Silva.

Silva, who has been a staple on just about every bestseller list since his debut novel, The Unlikely Spy, came out way back in 1996, remains one of the most recognized authors in print today. Following his successful first book, and after penning two Michael Osbourne novels—The Mark of the Assassin (1998) and The Marching Season (1999)—the author introduced the world to famed art restorer turned Israeli spy Gabriel Allon with his 1999 novel The Kill Artist. The once “wayward son of Israeli intelligence,” Allon spent many years in the field as a spy before finally assuming the position of chief of the Office later in the series. More recently, Gabriel has transitioned into his post-Mosad career as he tries to settle down and live a quiet life with his wife and children away from the action. Of course, things never quite go according to plan in that department, as Silva continues to find plenty of reasons to bring back his beloved character.

To date, the series is twenty-four books long, including last year’s blockbuster, A Death In Cornwall, and while we’d certainly recommend going back to read them all from the beginning, newcomers can jump in pretty much anywhere—which means that no matter what, whether you’re a longtime fan or new to Silva’s work, everyone should have An Inside Job high on their TBR lists as we head into summer.
