The thriller world’s most dynamic duo, Brian Andrews and Jeff Wilson, co-authors on more than a dozen books (including several in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan universe), are heading up a brand new imprint at Blackstone, called AWE, which stands for Andrews and Wilson Entertainment.
It’s an unprecedented move, to be frank, and unlike anything I’ve ever covered in my 10 years of reporting on all things thriller and mystery. I’ll have additional exclusive news about the future of WME and some of the authors they’ve signed—including Joshua Hood, Jack Stewart, and Don Bentley, but also several others—in the coming days and weeks.
For now, though, knowing the announcement was coming, I reached out to A&W, who agreed to give The Real Book Spy their first official interview. So, I sent my reporter on the ground, Jeff Ayers, who sat down with Brian and Jeff, then wrote the article below for TRBS Substack.

A&W: “This imprint is very exciting for us. We’re thrilled to have partnered with some truly talented thriller writers like Jack Stewart, Don Bentley, and Josh Hood. But in addition to military veterans and first responders, we’re also looking for some new voices, up-and-coming thriller writers who can share that ethos with us as well.”
When asked how the AWE imprint works, they shared:
