In 2016 ThrillerFest will be held at the Grand Hyatt in New York City on July 5-9th. Register, or learn more about the event itself, by clicking here.

Another award given out is the Silver Bullet Award. Previous winners include: Steve Berry, Sandra Brown, R.L. Stine, David Baldacci, Tom Doherty, Tony Plana, the Nestle Company, Capital One, and Macy’s.

More on the Silver Bullet Award, according to VictoriaSanders.com:

The Silver Bullet Award was created by the International Thriller Writers in conjunction with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) to recognize outstanding and meritorious achievement in the pursuit of literacy and the love of reading.

This year, it appears that New York Times bestselling author John Lescroart will receive the Silver Bullet Award on July 9th.

This information comes straight from Lescroart’s publicist at Atria Books, who broke the news on Twitter.

Lescroart responded with the following:

Lescroart has written twenty-six novels, most of them legal or crime thrillers, including the 2015 thriller The Fall, which is the sixteenth book in his popular Dismas Hardy series. His first published book was called Sunburn, a standalone novel that was released in 1981 by Pinnacle Books.

Congrats to John Lescroart for winning this award, which he so rightfully deserves!
