Multiple media outlets are reporting that five police officers were killed in the mass shooting that occurred in Dallas, Texas last night, which saw a total of eleven officers injured. Already, multiple bestselling thriller authors have taken to social media to make their opinions known on the matter.
Note: While some authors will absolutely stay away from politics on Twitter and Facebook, it’s worth pointing out that a large number of writers are currently in New York City attending the annual convention known as ThrillerFest. While in New York, many authors speak as part of various panels or have other obligations. For that reason, I suspect most aren’t active on their social media devices, and thus more input will come flooding in after tomorrow (when ThrillerFest ends). I’ll update this article accordingly.

Minnesota video is truly heartbreaking, but #Dallas is not acceptable. I demand senior leadership address this divisiveness they’ve created.

People should be able to protest peacefully without hyperbole inciting this kind of evil violence against those protecting all of us.

We are currently living in a nation that cannot be healed by a Hillary Clinton or a Donald Trump. Both lack the character necessary.
