Atria books, a division of Simon & Shuster, is one of the premier publishers in the business–especially when it comes to thrillers.
Not only are they the publishing home to superstar authors like Brad Thor, John Lescroart, and John Connolly, but they also publish Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series, which is now being written by Kyle Mills.
In the past two weeks alone, publishers have released some huge sneak peeks of their biggest books coming out later this year. Harlan Coben’s Home, Michael Connelly’s The Wrong Side of Goodbye, and James Rollins’ The Seventh Plague are just a few of the most recent novels to have free excerpts published online.
However, each of those books has just two chapters (or less) available. Atria, to promote Order To Kill, just made the first seven chapters available to fans–more than those other three books combined!
Order To Kill is the fifteenth Mitch Rapp novel in Vince Flynn’s bestselling series. Since Flynn’s passing in 2013, fellow bestselling author Kyle Mills has taken over the franchise without missing a beat. (This is Mills’ second Rapp novel, following last year’s #1 bestseller, The Survivor.)
While some fans are understandably worried about another author stepping in to try and fill Flynn’s shoes, rest assured that Mills’ doesn’t just continue the high standards fans expect from this series, he takes this franchise to new heights entirely. Best of all, he’s proven to understand exactly what fans want out to see in a Mitch Rapp novel, and he delivered in a big way this year.
You can read my full, spoiler-free review here to see why I’m calling Order To Kill the best Rapp book since Consent To Kill. Also, don’t forget to pre-order your copy as soon as possible!
These first seven chapters introduce readers to the new bad guy, Grisha Azarov, a Russian assassin whose lethal skill set it quite unlike anything Rapp has ever faced. To check it out (and honestly, how could you not?) simply click here to jump into the action.
Order To Kill will officially hit bookstores everywhere on October 11, 2016!
