Lee Child is set to release the highly anticipated next installment of his bestselling Jack Reacher series, Night School. The book officially hits bookstores everywhere on November 7th, and to celebrate the occasion Child and his publisher, Random House, are hosting a special event in Durham, North Carolina on November 11th.
The event sounds really awesome, especially if you’re a big fan of the Reacher franchise. And, best of all, through a partnership with the USO, Random House will donate one of Lee Child’s books to a serviceman overseas for every ticket sold.
They’re two ticket options that fans can purchase. For $30.00 readers can attend the event at the Carolina Theatre, and receive an autographed copy of Night School. But if you’re a superfan of Child and his books, VIP tickets can be purchased for $60.00, and those include much better seating, admission to an after-party at Bull McCabe’s with an open bar, the chance to meet and take a photo with Lee Child, and a personalized copy of Night School.
Here’s the official announcement, courtesy of EventBrite.com:
“Grab your friends and join Random House for Night School with Lee Child – a blockbuster fall event in Durham, NC! Celebrate the release of Lee’s highly anticipated new Jack Reacher novel, NIGHT SCHOOL, with an evening of entertainment, including coffee and craft beer tastings, late night food, and Reacher-themed trivia.
The night will open with a conversation at The Carolina Theatre where Lee Child will discuss his creative process, his immensely popular novels (over 100 million in print worldwide!), and the big screen adaptations starring Tom Cruise as Reacher. NIGHT SCHOOL sees Jack Reacher returning to the 90s, which is exactly where guests will be transported for an after-party at nearby Bull McCabe’s (427 W. Main St.), inspired by Lee Child’s favorite things and Reacher’s singular lifestyle. Guests will have the chance to meet Lee, take part in interactive activities, and win plenty of fall book giveaways.
In honor of Veterans Day, Random House has partnered with USO of NC. For every ticket sold to Night School with Lee Child, Random House will donate a Lee Child book to a service member overseas.”
