Check Out The Newly Released Plot Details For The Next Mitch Rapp Thriller From Kyle Mills

If you’re a fan of Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series, things just… got… real!

While the sixteenth novel (the third written by Kyle Mills since Flynn’s passing in 2013) is still untitled, the plot details were just announced and, well, let’s just say it’s sure to get fans’ hearts racing.

“Mitch Rapp returns in the #1 New York Times bestselling series in this timely thriller as a Saudi prince is discovered using his fortunes to fund ISIS, re-opening secrets about the Saudi government’s involvement in 9/11—secrets which the United States tried to bury.

In Flynn’s latest “thriller in which the pages seem to turn themselves” (Book Reporter), Mitch Rapp is given a dangerous mission by the President himself: find out which high-level Saudis are involved in funneling money to ISIS and kill them. The catch? Rapp will get no support from the United States in this endeavor.

Rapp therefore makes a decision that will change his life forever—he quits the CIA to avoid involving his men in something this illegal and decides to assemble a group of independent assassins to complete the mission. What they discover is a tangled web of allegiances leading back to the head of Saudi intelligence. But in the search for truth and justice, Rapp himself is discovered. Soon the Saudis and Americans are forming a joint task force to stop him, supported by the President, who denies his involvement, just as he warned he would if Rapp’s actions became known. Will this mission prove to be Rapp’s final one?”

This is almost too much awesomeness to process…

Rapp quits the CIA?!

He assembles a team of assassins?!

He’s chasing a conspiracy tied to 9/11?!?!

Talk about thriller fan overload! While Mills’ forthcoming Rapp novel, which follows last year’s Order to Kill, won’t be released until September 5th, fans chomping at the bit can pre-order by clicking here

Update: February 26, 2017 (11:54pm ET)

It appears the plot info on the official Amazon has changed. Read the newly updated details below!

“After 9/11, the United States made one of the most secretive and dangerous deals in its history. The evidence against the powerful Saudis who coordinated the attack would be buried. In return, King Faisal would promise to keep the oil flowing and deal with the conspirators in his midst.

When the king’s own nephew is discovered funding ISIS, the president suspects that the Saudis never intended to live up to their agreement. He decides that the royalty needs to be sent a message and that Mitch Rapp is just the man to deliver it. The catch? America can’t be seen moving against an ally. Rapp will be on his own. Forced to make a decision that will change his life forever, Rapp quits the CIA and assembles a group of independent contractors to help him complete the mission.

They’ve barely begun unraveling the connections between the Saudi government and ISIS when the brilliant new head of the intelligence directorate discovers their efforts. With Rapp getting too close, he threatens to go public with the details of the post-9/11 agreement between the two countries.

Facing an international incident that could end his political career, the President orders America’s intelligence agencies to join the Saudis’ effort to hunt the former CIA man down.

Rapp, supported only by a team of mercenaries with dubious allegiances, finds himself at the center of the most elaborate manhunt in history. It’s only a matter of time before he’s caught or killed. Will it be enough to turn the tables on the Saudis and clear his name?”

  • oh, yeah…
    really looking forward to this!

  • I love Vince’s Mitch Rapp, but haven’t tried any of Kyle’s additions to the series. Are they really as good? Vince was always writing things that were almost prophetic.

    • Kyle has done an amazing job! You should totally check his books out! You might notice some difference, but not much. They’re fantastic.

      • I’ll trust you on this for at least one. Thanks!

If you’re a die hard Rapp fan, like me, try Mark Greaney’s “Gray Man” series. I never thought I’d say it, but every bit as good as Rapp!
