Mike Maden’s Next Jack Ryan Jr. Thriller, ‘Tom Clancy Enemy Contact’, Coming in Summer 2019

Following his latest New York Times bestselling Jack Ryan Junior novel, Tom Clancy Line of Sight, author Mike Maden’s third contribution to Tom Clancy’s iconic franchise is set to hit bookstores on June 11, 2019.

After following Jack to Sarajevo where he connected with a Bosnian woman before uncovering a shocking truth in Line of Sight, this time around readers will accompany Ryan to the jungles of South America in Tom Clancy Enemy Contact. Check out the plot details below!

Tom Clancy Enemy Contact.jpgThe final wish of a dying friend leads Jack Ryan, Jr. to the jungles of South America where an unexpected confrontation will have shocking international repercussions in this latest entry in the New York Times bestselling series.

Jack Ryan, Jr. has faced death before, but sitting at the bedside of a college friend who is wasting away from cancer is almost more than he can endure. When the man asks Jack to scatter his ashes on a beloved hillside in Chile, of course, the answer is yes.

The first hint of trouble comes when an ex-pat, former US Army Ranger tries to warn Jack off. Then a group of thugs break into his room, beat him, and warn him to leave. They don’t know Jack. He won’t be intimidated and he’s never turned his back on trouble. But just how much can one man do against an army?

Old enemies and new reveal themselves everywhere from the jungle to the halls of Congress. Only a ruthless hunter can take down these predators. Jack will need every skill he has to survive.

Mike Maden is the author of the critically acclaimed Drone series. He holds both a master’s and Ph.D. in political science from the University of California at Davis, specializing in international relations and comparative politics. He has lectured and consulted on the topics of war and the Middle East, among others. Maden has served as a political consultant and campaign manager in state and national elections, and hosted his own local weekly radio show for a year.

Back in 2017, I announced that Maden was part of a big shift in the Clancy universe when he and Marc Cameron replaced long-time series writers Grant Blackwood and Mark Greaney. Since then, Maden has released two books–Tom Clancy Point of Contact and Tom Clancy Line of Sight–to critical acclaim, breathing new life into the Jack Junior books. Jack Ryan Senior, on the other hand, has lived on thanks to Marc Cameron, whose latest offering, Tom Clancy Oath of Office, comes out later this month.

Though it won’t land on store shelves until Summer 2019, Tom Clancy Enemy Contact is currently available for pre-order here. In the meantime, make sure you’re following Mike Maden on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
