If you haven’t yet met FBI Agent Ben Porter, you’re missing out on one of the genre’s best characters—period.
Back in 2020, Christopher Rosow took the publishing world by storm when he chose to self-publish his first book, False Assurances, which then went on to become an Amazon bestseller before also landing on the USA Today list as well as the Wall Street Journal’s Bestseller list. That book, which #1 New York Times bestselling author James Patterson called “thoroughly riveting” quickly racked up almost 2,000 reviews on Amazon (and counting), where it currently holds a 4.6/5 star rating.
Since then, Rosow has delivered two additional titles featuring Ben Porter, the franchise’s hero who also serves as the series first-person narrator, including Threat Bias (2020) and Subversive Addiction (2021), which bowed last year to rave reviews from readers and critics alike.
Always the innovator, Rosow also commissioned his work for audiobook, releasing dramatic readings of his novels—featuring a full cast of voice actors delivering terrific performances—and launched all three titles on Audible. That move proved to once again be ahead of the curve, as we’re now seeing other authors make similar plays (such as Mark Greaney’s Armored, etc.)
So, with a booming track record and three red-hot books in his backlist, the question as we settle into 2022 is: what’s next for Ben Porter?
While plot details surrounding Rosow’s highly-anticipated next book are still hard to come by, Book Spy readers are getting an exclusive first look at the cover art for . . . Ben Porter number four, Vital Deception.
Christopher Rosow is an independent author who has self-published three novels. After being rejected by the usual publishing houses, he decided to forge his own path. Turns out those publishers were wrong; Rosow’s first release, FALSE ASSURANCES, became a best-seller and was optioned as a feature film by Spyglass Media. Sequels THREAT BIAS and SUBVERSIVE ADDICTION continue the story of Rosow’s unique and compelling protagonist, Ben Porter.
Remaining independent, Rosow auditioned an ensemble cast to voice audio versions of his books.
When not writing, Rosow still works full-time in his “day job” in the design and construction space. And, when not working or writing, or enjoying time with his amazing family, he’s probably found out on the water somewhere, sailing. He lives in Connecticut with his family, his dogs, and way too many boats.
Stay tuned for more updates on Vital Deception, including a full plot synopsis and release date, and another surprise announcement surrounding Rosow’s publishing plans.
