It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Next week, we’ll roll out the full Book Spy Holiday Shopping Guide, which is jam-packed with a ton of great stuff that you can get the reader(s) in your life. But, to give our followers a little sneak peek of what to expect, here’s a quick list that highlights five things that are perfect for the book fan you love.
1.) *SIGNED* Copies of new books from Janet Evanovich, Michael Connelly, and Lee & Andrew Child

The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale, Arizona is one of the premier bookstores the country has to offer, and a go-to source for many book buyers. They have thousands of signed books in stock, including three recent releases that should be perfect for whoever you’re shopping for. So while I encourage you to browse their website or call their store, I recommend checking out these titles to make the holidays extra special this year. (Note: Poisoned Pen will ship anywhere!)
Going Rogue, Rise and Shine Twenty-Nine by Janet Evanovich
No Plan B (A Jack Reacher novel) by Lee Child and Andrew Child
Desert Star (A Harry Bosch and Renee Ballard novel) by Michael Conelly
Shop for all three of those titles here.
2.) Jack Carr Swag
Ask the thriller fan you’re shopping for if they enjoy Jack Carr’s work. Trust me, this is a win-win. Either they’ll say yes, and appreciate one of these items more than you know, or you’ll be turning them onto the genre’s latest superstar author. (Carr’s first book, The Terminal List, was adapted for television by Prime Video and released earlier this year, starring Chris Pratt.)
From cutting boards to bookmarks to t-shirts and hats and much, much more, Jack Carr has his readers covered with a ton of items up for sale. Personally, I love both his shirt and the coffee mug he sells. I have several of both and can vouch for the craftsmanship and quality. You just can’t go wrong here.

3.) The Brad Thor Store
Scot Harvath is one of the greatest fictional badasses ever created. When it comes to beating headlines, nobody does it quite like Brad Thor, the undisputed king of the genre. So, why not treat the reader in your life to some awesome Brad Thor merch? I have just about everything he sells out of his store, including several challenge coins, one of the posters, and his coffee mug, which is exceptionally well-made.
Visit the Brad Thor store here.
4.) C.J. Box’s Joe Picket Merchandise
Nothing says “it’s about to get Western” quite like a perfectly fitted t-shirt from the official C.J. Box store. I actually have several of the stickers and two of the t-shirts. This year, I’ll be adding the “Yarak” coffee mug and ‘Treasure State” cap to my personal collection. If you know for sure the reader you’re shopping for is a fan of Box’s work, then they’ll no doubt love any of these items. If you’re not sure, I would recommend picking up a copy of Shadows Reel, the latest Joe Pickett adventure, and pairing that with one of the coffee mugs. Joe, a Wyoming game warden, is a hero unlike anyone else the thriller genre has to offer.
Check out the official C.J. Box merch here.
5.) Limited, first-edition collector copies from V.J. Books
Another one of the most prominent bookstores around, V.J.’s, located in Tualatin, Oregon, has over 80,000 signed books in stock, making them the largest bookseller for signed books and collectible books in business today. If you, like me, are shopping for your dad, check out some of their limited edition copies from authors like John Grisham and Clive Cussler. I can’t wait to present my father with his gift this year. So, take a look and see if anything pops out to you, but just know they have something for everyone. Happy hunting!
