In the vast and snowy landscape of Alaska, where the northern lights dance in the winter sky, a former Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal turned thriller author added another skill to his impressive bio that warms the hearts of children each December. Meet Marc Cameron, a man whose journey from dignitary protection, fugitive operations, and New York Times bestselling thriller author led to spreading holiday cheer around the Anchorage area.

You may know author Marc Cameron best as the man behind the pain Jericho Quinn, Arliss Cutter, and Jack Ryan Sr. have inflicted on bad guys in the action thriller novels he’s penned since 2011. The once stern figure clad in a badge and a sidearm, Cameron now dons a festive red hat to complement his natural white beard as he transforms into Saint Nick each Christmas season. Alongside him is his spirited wife of over four decades, who plays the role of Mrs. Claus. Together, the couple finds joy in creating magical moments for the children in southern Alaska.

Cameron’s law enforcement career took him to the far reaches of Alaska to Manhattan, Canada, Mexico, and dozens of points in between. A life of adventure that’s made the former lawman a natural storyteller, Marc and his wife distribute gifts and share stories of their experiences at the North Pole, captivating the imaginations of wide-eyed children swept up by the spirit of Christmas.

Originally from Texas, Cameron is an avid outdoorsman, sailor, and adventure motorcyclist.  He holds a second-degree black belt in jujitsu and is a certified law enforcement scuba diver and man-tracking instructor. He continues to live in Alaska with his wife, where they raised their three children.

Cameron has written eight Quinn novels and five Arliss Cutter novels featuring a deputy US marshal based in Alaska, including the most recent Cutter, Breakneck, and the upcoming Bad River (July 2024 from Kensington Publishing Corp.) He’s also the author of seven Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan novels for the Clancy estate, including the most recent, Tom Clancy Command and Control (November 2023 from GP Putnam’s Sons/Penguin Random House.)
