CBS Films To Make Announcement Regarding The Highly-Anticipated Film Adaption Of Vince Flynn’s ‘American Assassin’ Very Soon!

If you’re a fan of Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp series, stay tuned. I’m hearing that CBS Films is gearing up to make a big announcement regarding the American Assassin film, which could come as soon as tomorrow (Thursday, August 18th).

Here’s everything we know so far:

  • Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf, The Maze Runner, Deep Water Horizon) is all but confirmed to play the young CIA super-assassin, Mitch Rapp.
  • Michael Keaton has signed on to play Stan Hurley, the veteran Cold War spy who is tasked with training Rapp.
  • We also know that Michael Cuesta will be directing from a script written by Stephen Schiff, and that Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Nick Wechsler are producing the film which is co-financed by CBS Films and Lionsgate. Filming is said to be starting very soon.

Again, we’ll know a lot more very soon–possibly as early as tomorrow. So stay tuned,  I’ll be updating this post whenever CBS Films makes their official announcement.
