On November 9th, New York Times bestselling author Simon Gervais is set to release The Last Protector, the first book in a brand new series starring former air force combat rescue officer, Special Agent Clayton White.
Gervais, best known for his popular Pierce Hunt (Time to Hunt, 2020, etc.) series, will kickoff what becomes his third franchise this fall. Anticiption is already high—and for good reason. In an exclisive statment to The Real Book Spy, Gervais said: “Not only is The Last Protector my most electrifying thriller yet, this is the first book I’ve written in which I’ve used my years as a close protection officer to really flesh out my main character.”
If that doesn’t get your pulse going, you might not love thrillers.

From New York Times bestselling author Simon Gervais.
“A former air force combat rescue officer, Special Agent Clayton White now works for the Secret Service performing routine escort missions for politicians. These missions may not be quite as exciting as his time in the military, but Clayton’s okay with that. It gives him more time to see his girlfriend, Jasmine Hammond—who also happens to be the vice president–elect’s daughter.
But Clayton’s routine takes a startling turn when South African mercenaries target Jasmine at an awards gala celebrating her work in locating undiscovered archaeological sites. After this attempt on Jasmine’s life, Clayton enters into a complicated web of lies, betrayal, and dangerous government secrets.
As Clayton gets closer to the truth, he encounters unexpected foes pitted against questionable allies. With enemies at every turn, the only constant Clayton can rely on is Jasmine. But when the threat against her turns on him, too, he faces an impossible choice: love or country.”
